A Self Hypnosis Metaphor for Spring
Amazing how things seem to bloom and grow every year in Spring as we get another hour of daylight. Unfortunately this can work for or against us if we don’t know how to process our thoughts and attitudes. Rather than nourish unhealthy thoughts this spring see, if you can change all limiting beliefs you have in one day into affirmations for positive change.
1)Lie back and close your eyes. Begin to progressively relax each muscle group starting with your eyes.
2) Imagine a beautiful blue spring sky above you with white, puffy clouds. Your mind is as vast as the sky. Your conscious thoughts are the white, puffy clouds.
3) Rather than judge or criticize your conscious thoughts that invade your mind, enjoy the idea that they are there for some greater purpose. Understand and thank them for what they are and notice…how right before your eyes. They begin to change into something, beautiful, useful. A soft spring rain washing away, detoxifying the body of stress, tension and dis-ease and easing the mind into an easy peaceful, fertile state. Ready now, for healthy and helpful growth of new ideas.
